AI is not bolted on as an extra. It is woven into every layer of Vardekort — from data collection and structuring to report generation and scoring. Covering 220+ destinations with consistent, up-to-date intelligence reports would be impossible without it.
What AI does in practice

Human review process
Vardekort uses AI to gather, structure, and summarise signals from official sources — government travel advisories, international development indices, crime statistics, and democratic-freedom indicators. AI is the engine that makes consistent coverage of 220+ destinations possible.
Per-country narratives are generated with AI assistance and then reviewed by a human — Haakon Skramstad, the founder — against the underlying source data before they appear on the public site. The reviewer's name and the date of last review are shown on every country page that carries a narrative, so you can see exactly who stands behind the editorial layer.
AI is the editor's assistant, not the editor. No score, advisory summary, or narrative is published without a human in the loop. We do not claim forensic-level fact-checking — we claim a careful, traceable process that pairs machine speed with human judgment.
